Which color LED light is best for acne?

Blue is the best light therapy for targeting blemishes. When combined with red light therapy, these wavelengths help to clear mild to moderate blemishes, lowering the skin’s inflammation and supporting tissue recovery.

What does blue light therapy do?

Blue light therapy helps clear mild to moderate blemishes and lowers inflammation, supporting tissue recovery.

How do you define acne?

Blemishes refer to imperfections on the skin, such as discolouration, spots, or marks, caused by factors including hormonal changes, genetics, stress, skincare, diet and environment. Our Anti-Blemish LED Pen is designed to target mild to moderate blemishes.

What causes breakouts?

Blemishes are caused when excess hair, dead skin cells and makeup clog pores, allowing bacteria to grow and cause inflammation. Hormonal changes and stress can increase the risk of breakouts by increasing oil production.

Can I use the LED Pen more than the recommended amount?

No, do not use this device more than once a day on the same spot. The technology is already calibrated to be the most effective within the time allotted.

How long does the LED Pen take to charge?

1.5 to 2 hours for a full charge.

How should I clean the LED Pen after use?

Wipe the top of the LEDs with alcohol wipes or a damp, lint free cloth to remove any residue after each use.

Clean the device body by using a damp microfiber cloth. Do not use chemical or alcohol based cleaners on the plastic coating, and allow the device to dry completely before next use.

What’s the difference between a light therapy wand and an LED Pen?

Light therapy wands are designed to move across the skin, while the CurrentBody Skin Anti-Acne LED Pen is designed to target one blemish at a time in 3 minutes. This offers a more targeted and precise approach to reducing the occasional breakout.
