Biohacking your sleepThe use of a sleep mask whilst you sleep has been clinically proven as a useful tool for ‘biohacking’ your sleep quality. Biohacking involves making small changes to your lifestyle (in this case, your sleep routine) to promote improvements in health and wellbeing.A ‘good night’s sleep’ according to the National Sleep Foundation is 7 to 9 hours a night of continuous sleep which helps to ensure you can cycle through all four sleep stages:Awake – the time spent in bed whilst not sleeping, plus any periods where you wake up during the nightLight Sleep – light sleep help guides you into a deeper sleep – it is the time in which your heart rate slows & your muscles relaxDeep Sleep – during deep sleep your body promotes muscle repair & your blood pressure dropsREM (rapid eye movement) sleep – this is the stage at which your brain benefits the most – respiration & heart rate increases and studies show this is where your memory, learning and problem-solving improves. This is also the stage in which we dreamA simple way to ‘hack’ your sleep is to use our Dr Harris Sleep Mask to block all light out. Studies show that a good quality, light-blocking sleep mask acts as a shield to this light, which in turn will help you to get to sleep quicker and avoid having your sleep interrupted by light.https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/3097/7858/files/Copy_of_CB07-NBeC-8833.jpg?v=1710247604CurrentBody sleep study: The resultsIn Spring 2022, we asked 12 CurrentBody customers to participate in a sleep study using our Dr Harris Anti-Wrinkle Sleep Mask. Denise, one of the participants, found a significant change before and after using the mask. “The first two nights I wore the mask I really noticed the difference. When I woke up in the morning I felt like I had slept straight for hours”.Average REM sleep of all participants improved by eight minutes per night. Manjet, who’s REM sleep increased by 20 minutes on average per night, found that she woke up “refreshed for the day ahead”.Read more about the sleep study here in our article > Evidence that the Dr Harris Anti-Wrinkle Sleep Mask really does improve sleephttps://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/3097/7858/files/Copy_of_CB07-NBeC-8844_1.jpg?v=1710247604Rejuvenating your skin as well as your sleepThis sleep mask not only works wonders for your sleep quality, but is the world’s first for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, delivering anti-aging results whilst you rest.Lines and wrinkles are formed by muscle contractions that happen underneath your skin – it’s been scientifically proven. These muscle contractions form two types of wrinkles – static and dynamic. Dynamic wrinkles are temporary lines formed by expressions, like when you frown or smile. Static wrinkles are more permanent lines.Using 2R Technology (resistance and relaxation), the silicone dots gently grip your skin to prevent the underlying muscles from contracting. This resistance helps to prevent sleep creases – usually caused by your pillow – for smoother skin around your eyes. Enjoy physical relaxation of muscles and emotional relaxation as the mask stimulates your mechanoreceptors – tiny little nerve endings in your face.Since this is an eye mask, that effect is localized right where you want it – those pesky brow furrows.https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/3097/7858/files/Copy_of_CB07-NBeC-8836_1.jpg?v=1710249289Increases relaxation”The very gentle pressure on the forehead, combined with how comfortable the mask is, led to waves of sleepiness after just a few minutes.”Alan, UKArtboard_2_5.jpgArtboard_2_copy_5.jpgSoftens fine lines”I’m so impressed by how it instantly softened my lines.
